Sustainable websites with
little footprint &
big impact

LittleBigThings creates fast and delightful websites
with care for the environment & our privacy.

LittleBigThings has built

  • Logo Isala isala.be: a multilingual site with thousands of members for the citizen science project at the University of Antwerp, designed by Studio Maria
  • Belgian Society for Microbiology belsocmicrobio.be: a membership site for the Belgian Society for Microbiology to organise events for members and other microbiologists and scientists
  • Logo Prijs der Letteren prijsderletteren.org: a website for the organisation of the ‘Prijs der Nederlandse Letteren’ to easily enable them to put new laureates in the picture and keep an archive of past winners of the prize
  • CAFYR cafyr.uantwerpen.be: a multilingual website for a research about children’s books at the UAntwerp
  • Global Warning globalwarning.blog: a tiny blog about the impact of the internet on climate change and how to build sustainable websites

With LittleBigThings I build sites that only need minimal amount of data to load. They are simple, fast and user friendly. They respect visitors by using privacy-friendly analytics. They are mostly built on WordPress. I specialise in WordPress multisite for diverse use cases and in membership sites for non-profits and universities.

I write about web design and contribute to WordPress and to other climate movements. I try to limit LittleBigThings’ environmental impact by taking the bike, travelling responsibly (or not travelling), using my equipment as long as possible and planting trees.
